Fernando Del Moral is a warm-hearted storyteller and proud father whose playful imagination is enchanting children and families around the world. His debut picture book, Soaphie Lavender, is a delightfully funny tale about a curious little girl who can’t stop eating soap. Full of bubbly humour and surprises, the story helps young readers learn in a playful and silly way that things that look tasty aren’t always meant to be eaten. The book is charmingly brought to life by the young, talented illustrator Michelle Ulloa and is available in both English and Spanish. A lifelong lover of stories, Fernando began inventing bedtime tales for his two daughters, who devoured children’s books and inspired him to turn those stories into a growing collection now five books in development. Having lived in Mexico, the United States, Spain, and Switzerland and travelled widely, Fernando brings an international perspective to his work and a natural understanding of what connects children everywhere: curiosity, humour, and heart. Fernando holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and studied a master’s degree in diplomacy. He blends creative imagination with a thoughtful approach to story craft and storytelling for young readers, making his books both entertaining and meaningful for families and publishers looking for fresh, globally minded voices in children’s literature.
